« Knitters from Mars | Main | Can someone please tell me... »

December 15, 2006

oh, I have the marina upstairs kitted, ready to start in 07! the older sewing machines are the best..

You went 4 days without knitting? No wonder you were feeling foggy!

I have a 30+ sewing machine too. It is a bear to drag out of the closet. But....I wouldn't trade her for the world. The scarf doesn't really count ;)

I guess that's better than the dog ate my knitting!

I've nearly given up on seeing a pic of you celebrating Christmas wearing Marina, though ten days for sleeves is doable. Maybe Valentine's Day or Easter?

Go knit your scarf but I'm holding you to that "no major projects till Marina is done" ;-)

I think your in the clear, you were unable to go forward, you had good intentions to continue on Marina, but yet life just wasn't going to allow you. YOu had to start the scarf. And besides a scarf never really counts anyway, right?

Is your sewing machine a Singer "Featherweight" by any chance? That's what I've got.

I can totally relate to the 4 different parts in 4 different rooms. How that happens I don't know.

Have you got your power back? Ours is still out. We lost it at 3:15 early in the morning, and they don't expect it to be back until late tonight or tomorrow. We left home for DH's folks in Chilliwack. Much nicer here, and I could post my blog.

I have an old heavy metal (ha) Elna that is over 50 years old and that was my Grandma's. Weighs a ton, but I've never owned any other machine.

The name of that scarf should be Iolite and Ameythist......or is it spelled Amethyst? I have seen it spelled both ways. The scarf is just awesome for us non-knitters and as pretty as they come.

Hi Li! I came here from Sandy's blog. I love the Herringbone Rib pattern and would love a copy! I need a pattern that I like to do one more Red Scarf and this looks like it would fit the bill. Thanks!

I am looking for someone to knit a shawl. I have something in mind and it is for myself. I love everything you make....they are all beautiful!! The colors are my favorite. If you have time, let me know.

Steek cutting. Knitting and cutting. YIKES. I've heard of it and I've seen demonstrations of it, but I wonder how much coffee or tequila I would need to actually do it.

Don't blame you one bit for casting on that beautiful scarf.
