The Mom's nightmare and the Father's Dream

A make out scene. My son, the 17 year old actor, is getting paid for up to three days, to utter two lines and make out with a girl. Up to three days at say, $555 a day. My friend's husband has offered to do it for $500. Like a good mom I've checked with the agent to confirm that the film is not rated R. Nobody prepared me for this part of motherhood. I need a photo to punctuate the unlikeliness of this role to my motherly brain. How about this one from last summer?

I think I'll go knit now.

I don't know what to day - I just smiled. Willow says your son is cute.

Sounds like a great gig! Good for him. And you are a very good mom.

What a hoot! From what I've heard, making out on the big screen is not all it's cracked up to be. You're so concerned about lighting, angles and making it look good that you can't really get into it. Or so I've heard - what would I know?

Wow, he must be in 7th heaven! The role of a lifetime! As a mother, I myself would sit right at the sidelines where he could see me!

Keep knitting...my son just got back from L.A. I have no idea the kinds of trouble I'm sure he get's into. I'm sure I don't want to know. Your son is a handsome young man, by the way!

We just met with my son's high school counselor re: prep for courses needed to graduate next year and to meet college requirements.
My son wants to eventually work in sports injury rehabilitation and physiotherapy.
Never thought I'd hear this from a HS counselor "Son, in order to meet college acceptance requirements, you need to drop history 12 for PE 12."
I wouldn't have believed it if I hadn't heard it myself.
Raising teens is a constant state of shock....and disbelief.
The things they don't warn you about in prenatal!

Oh great, now they're paying them to make out? That is really a hoot. And that photo of your son is priceless!

He is quite handsome! Good luck to him in the movie!

Now that is a job. Love that picture.

Hoo boy. At least you can rest assured that he'll have about 100 people watching at all times. Think of them as chaperones. (Not all that comforting, is it?)

Oh goodness...found you thru knittingfriends.com and have a teen boy, so had to read your entry. Good Luck!

On a different topic, noticed the herringbone rib scarf and love it. How do I get the pattern?
