Boobage and cleavage
We've had a heat wave in BC, and you know what that brings? Lots of office chatter about appropriate workwear. I don't entirely get it since we work in an air conditioned environment. Nonetheless, people have the need to dress down when the sun shines. I've been circulating a couple of articles around the office, prompting much discussion.
Working in social services on the West Coast is a different environment than Toronto's Bay Street, however casual professionalism is appreciated. What it boils down to for me, are two things. Be mindful of our clientele and colleagues - cover your cleavage, front and back, top and bottom. And here's where I really draw the line. Don't let me see your thong. Just call me old fashioned.
Hot weather sunsets:
Rainy weather knitting, the heat was short lived, but the colours are consistent:

We ask all new photograhers to not show thier thongs when they bend over and to wear long sleeves to cover any tatoos. That one is getting harder and harder for this to be done . We want to be kid friendly and not scare a first grader with a skull and cross bones! Beautiful sky pictures! Also you have to have a nifty knitter class on the porch for Ana banana and me when you are here. We are both visual learners. Can't wait!

You'd think that people would know how to dress themselves once they get to be adults.
Fortunately those beautiful photos of yours just might help get the thong image out of my head.

OOHH gorgeous sky!! And as far as dressing for work, its still an office, not the beach. I've worked in a bank right off the beach in Ft Laud. and we were NOT allowed to dress like we were headed to the beach after work. We can get away with no hose or open toed shoes, but no thongs are allowed. REally if you just use common sense, there'd be no problem.
And thanks for stopping by the blog. I knew what you meant when you were referring to the 2 hour dress in 12 hours. I occasionally sew too and that sounds abt how long it take me to do those patterns as well!

I figure, if your bathing suit should cover it, your work attire should, too.

Hear, hear! I work in a pediatric office and you'd think it would go without saying that you should cover up tattoos, take out piercings and for cryin' out loud, cover up the girls!! Unfortunately it doesn't go without sayin' and I'm the one that has to say it.

You're knitting a sunset! Too bad we can't get our weather right:too hot for knitting, too rainy for family reunions.
I read a great article in the Globe and Mail that specifically identified underwear as the generation gap. Our mothers didn't like our underwear either.

I hear that people are hoping their kids inherit the "Meyer crack." Since I've never shown one, I'm sure they wouldn't inherit it from me! Nicola graduates from her "tightie whities" in a little over a week. Who'd 'a thunk it?

A thong? I would have been shocked enough to ask the coworker where she buys her floss!! In the hopes I'd made a point. LOL I wish people would get over the thought that the rest of us really want to see their birthday suit when we're working.
Those Mountain Colors truly are a reflection of your sky!
