I love the idea of capable woman days. I wonder how I can implement that with my girls...

caro

Charlotte is gorgeous! I love those colours. Beautiful work from an incredibly capable woman. Way to go!

Dorothy

You look so cute in that shawl! : ) That really is a compliment. I get called cute a lot, too and at 55 I've decided to take it in a positive light. I could be called much worse. Anybody who could produce enough paperwork to fry a copier is indeed capable.

Emma.

Gorgeous Charlotte.
Fab !

You strike me as being incredibly capable.Nothing like being patronised by a bright young thing. ;-]

Li, nothing wrong w/being cute!
clapotis looks nice, heck, I couldn't even do one. Im not a lace knitter yet.. so guess IM not cute :-(

Shanti

Charlotte is beautiful! As for the cute thing...I suppose I'm guilty of that myself sometimes. But hey, cute and capable is a good combination!

Uli

Charlotte is smashing. I think I know what I'll do with my 5 skeins of purple Koigu. Would you let me in on the little secret of how to do the ruffle or point me in the direction that led you to figure out how to do it so nicely? I think I'd like to try that. How many skeins did you end up using when all was said and done?

Hope your application is successful. Those things have a life of their own.

Karen

I really really like it with the ruffle! Very nice! And you are cute.... but not in a senior citizen way...just plain cute! :P

Jenny

Your employee was likely just delighted that you asked for her help! And that's a good thing!

Alison

Oh Li - that looks terrific ... I am getting itchy fingers to start one now.... look what you've started! :-)

Rosie

I am never offended when anyone of any age calls me cute. That is because I am a last born. The lacey shawl is so lovely. OOOOOH it would be nice in a silky turquoise. I am working mega hours to get started in this real estate field. I have previewed 22 houses this week at "broker open houses."

Text messaging is hard because the buttons are like specs...! Who needs text mess. anyways! I lovee Loveeeeeeeee the shawl. So pretty!

Christine

Your shaw turned out gorgeous!! I especially like the ruffle. Your son's IMing you and your dilemma killed me! (in a good way)... Gee, I wonder why MY son hasn't done the clothespin trick yet (perhaps beause my clothespins are a thing of the past?!)

Amy

This is a beautiful Charlotte. I'd love to know how you did the ruffled edge. I did the fringe on the one I made my mom, but I don't think I want fringe on mine.

claire

Hello, I love your Charlotte, I just got the pattern and am itching to try it.....I like the ruffled edge, I already made a shawl out of Morehouse Merino called The Marie Antoinette which featured a fringe edge, so I think the ruffle would be a nice feature on the Charlotte. Maybe I will poke around on this site and see if you have directions on how you did the ruffle...
